Week 7 Meet

We’re in for a fun an exciting night this week, with the second round of hurdles! Also with regional relays just around the corner we’re still practising for our win!

Make sure you get that trail leg up and over!

Date: Friday, 20th of October, 2023
Location: McPherson Park, Denham St, Bracken Ridge

Time: Meet Start: 6:00 PM

We encourage all participants to arrive no later than 5:50 PM. This will give you ample time to get organised, and familiarise yourselves with the schedule and any updates for the season.

Arriving early is also a great idea as it will allow you to pick up a much needed coffee from Fancy Fox Coffee and to ensure a smooth start to our meet by ensuring we’re able to fill all of the required family/parent rosters spots before we’re meant to start.

We can’t wait to get another fantastic evening of athletics and outdoor fun underway.

Week 6 Meet

Nordic Sport Regional Relays U7-U17’s

Regional Relays primarily provide friendly Regional Competition for all athletes in these age groups to compete in teams.  Track and field relays are provided for.   The track teams comprise of four (4) athletes, and the field teams comprise of the total number of nominated athletes for that age groups’ event.  In addition, Regional Relays are a means for qualifying for the McDonald’s State Relay Championships.  Use the this link for Frequently Asked Questions(Updates coming).

Eligibility and Progression
All LAQ Registered U7 – U17s athletes are eligible to compete.
LAQ does not impose eligibility restrictions upon athletes wishing to nominate.  Athletes do not have to compete in a minimal number of Centre meets.
Teams from the U9 – U17 age groups that place 1st – 3rd in track events and 1st and 2nd in field events will be eligible to progress to the McDonald’s State Relay Championships.

Location: Leslie Patrick Park, Olearia St West, Arana Hills

Time: Meet Start: 8:00AM – 4:00pm Approx.

Complete and return to centre on either Friday night the 6th, 13th or 20th of October

Officials Required for the Day

BRLA needs to support the event on the day with 12 event officials, if you’re available to assist please reach out to discuss further.

We’ll need the following rolls to be filled, each of which counts as a Parent Roster
