Children representing BRLA must wear the correct uniform and of the correct colour. T-shirts (same for boys and girls), shorts for boys and girls, bike pants for girls. Athletes from Under 13s and up are allowed to wear a singlet (boys and girls) or a crop top (girls only), all tops warn in competition must have the athletes number attached.

It is compulsory for athletes to wear footwear in all events. Spikes can be worn by athletes in Under 11s and up in laned Track events, Under 13s and up can wear spikes in laned and un-laned Track events.


We are often asked what events do each age group compete in and what is the program for this week. Due to the flexibility we build into our weekly program to allow for a multitude of factors, we cannot publish each week’s program, however please view the attached PDF to see what events each age group can compete in.  Events for each Age Group


The age divisions for Little Athletics is determined by rulings on a state basis.
We prefer all athletes to attempt all events offered, unless there is a valid reason for not doing so.
Please advise the recording desk of any past sicknesses, injuries or otherwise.
Insurance cover applies to all registered athletes (aged between 3 & 18 years), coaches, members, voluntary workers.


Parental assistance in the operation of each night’s program is a necessary requirement for Little Athletics events. One adult member or guardian is required to be in attendance at all times.


We have developed a simplified program for damp weather, restricting competition to events that are safe. If the weather becomes a danger to the athletes and officials we may have to cancel any further events.


LAQ regulations state that smoking is not permitted.


Each week we run a canteen for your convenience, the menu changes each week.


Parents may readily become event judges after a simple multiple choice tutorial and practical accreditation.
Mid-week coaching is provided for those who wish to improve skills and better achieve performance gains.
